I'm a playwright, producer and proud member of the Dramatists Guild of America, based in Ohio. My plays are dedicated to exploring the diverse experiences of Black women.

The short story of my life in seven parts.

1) Born in Ohio to teenagers in love.

2) Grew up in a loving working class family that nurtured my bookishness and wanderlust.

3) Asked God to allow me to see the world at the age of seven.

4) Saw an ad in the Cincinnati Enquirer newspaper about admissions testing at Cincinnati Country Day School and telephoned the school's office asking for more details about the test at the age of 14.

5) Graduated from Cincinnati Country Day School on a partial scholarship. Earned a B.A. from Sarah Lawrence College and a master's degree in journalism from Indiana University, Bloomington.

6) Lived in Toyama, Japan, London, U.K., and Florence, Italy. Traveled to Costa Rica, Sweden, Estonia, Helsinki, Egypt, India, Laos, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Macau, Australia, South Africa, Mozambique, Ireland, Britain, Greece, Scotland, France, Brussels, Vienna, Prague, Copenhagen, Amsterdam, Singapore, Taipei, Canada, Malta, Spain, Turkey, Mexico, Dubai, U.S. Virgin Islands and happily on my 3rd passport.

7) Discovered playwriting and theatre in 2011, became obsessed with writing plays and getting them on stage in 2012, realized that I born to be a theatre artist in 2013.
